Hummer Super Bowl
The assignment was to create a Super Bowl spot for a vehicle that didn't even exist yet - the new Hummer EV. It was a jump ball between 4 different agencies, over 50 creatives, and we were only given 5 days before the pitch. Our idea sold, which was to create the world's first silent Super Bowl commercial for the world's first silent Super Truck. We only had a month from start to finish in order for it to be ready for the big game. Then we landed LeBron James as an influencer, so we had to figure out a way to incorporate him into the commercial and on social. Below is our finished spot. Although an unexpected obstacle arose after the client review.
Sound On Version
After reviewing the edit with clients, someone asked why there wasn't any sound, even though that was the idea we sold. They asked if we could add audio. We scrambled to figure out a way to make it work, and this is the spot that aired. It became the #2 Most Popular Super Bowl Google Ad Search. #2 Overall Earned Digital and Social Activity of Super Bowl Ads. Top 10 Trending on YouTube, Twitter & Reddit. The #1 Natural Search for "Electric Truck" over Tesla and Rivian. And the #2 Highest Increase in Edmunds.com shopping among Super Bowl auto brands.
Social Videos
We only had a few hours with LeBron, so after getting enough takes for the commercial, we worked quickly to create several FB, TW, IG and YouTube videos to tease the spot.
